Guizhou Light Industry Polytechnic University (贵州轻工职业大学): Programs and Teaching Language for International Students
Guizhou Light Industry Polytechnic University (贵州轻工职业大学) lists five programs for international students in the Guizhou provincial admissions brochure, produced in April 2026. All five are three-year college-level (专科) programs. The brochure does not state the teaching language, so you need to confirm that with the university directly.

The brochure does not give enrollment numbers, application requirements, or tuition for these programs. Those items are not in the table, so this article does not add them.
What the institution is
The university was approved by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government in February 2004. It was formed by merging the Guizhou First Light Industry School, founded in 1977, and the Guizhou Second Light Industry School, founded in 1979. It is a full-time public higher vocational institution under the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education. Its main focus is higher vocational education, and it also runs secondary vocational education and pre- and post-employment training.
In June 2025, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Guizhou Light Industry Polytechnic University. The approval describes it as a public undergraduate-level vocational institution, built on the former Guizhou Light Industry Technical College. The brochure's program table, however, lists only college-level (专科) programs. If you are considering an undergraduate-level program, ask the university whether one is open to international students.
The brochure also says the university has received several national recognitions. These include the National Huang Yanpei Outstanding Vocational Education Award, the first batch of national modern apprenticeship pilot institutions, and the national "Double High-Level" vocational college and major construction unit designation. This article reports those items as the brochure states them and does not assess them further.
Who the program list may suit
The list is most relevant if you are looking for a three-year vocational program in one of five areas: art design, food inspection and testing, new energy vehicle technology, big data, or the Internet of Things. Students who want a hands-on, applied route in these fields will find the list easy to compare against their goals.
If you want a program outside this list, the brochure does not show it. Check the university's own catalog before you assume it is offered.
What to confirm with the university
The brochure does not include fees, scholarship amounts, or application deadlines. Check these details on the official website of the university's International Education College or International Exchange Office, and treat the latest notice there as authoritative. Confirm the following points before you apply:
- The teaching language of each program
- Tuition and other fees
- Scholarship amounts and eligibility
- Application deadlines and required documents
- Whether any undergraduate-level program is open to international students
