About the college
The 贵州水利水电职业技术学院 is a full-time public higher vocational college. The brochure says it was approved by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government and officially registered with the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor, the Guizhou Water Resources and Electric Power School, was founded in 1956. The college sits under the Guizhou Provincial Department of Water Resources and describes itself as a provincial-level high-level vocational college with a strong focus on water conservancy and hydropower.
The brochure gives the college more than 12,000 students and more than 500 faculty members. Its new campus is in the Guiyang (Qingzhen) Vocational Education City, on Longjing Road, Qingzhen, Guiyang, covering 600 acres.
