Tongren Polytechnic College (铜仁职业技术学院): Programs and Teaching Language for International Students

Tongren Polytechnic College (铜仁职业技术学院（Tongren Polytechnic College）) accepts international students in its one-year Chinese language program and in a range of three-year vocational programs. Every program in the Guizhou admissions brochure is taught in Chinese. The college describes itself as the first higher vocational college in Guizhou Province to enroll international students.

About the college

The college was founded in 2002, and its history can be traced back to 1938. It is a public, full-time higher vocational college in Tongren, Guizhou. It was co-established by the National Ethnic Affairs Commission and the People's Government of Guizhou Province, and it is recognized as a National High-Quality Higher Vocational College. According to the college's own profile, it has more than 900 teaching and administrative staff and more than 20,000 full-time students.

The college describes its international work under the phrase "立足东盟、面向亚洲、放眼世界" (rooted in ASEAN, oriented toward Asia, and embracing the world). It says it has partnerships with 54 universities and institutions abroad. It also reports that it has been named among the first batch of "International Exchange and Cooperation Demonstration Colleges" in Guizhou, and that it takes part in the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Characteristic Cooperative Programs and the China-ASEAN "Thousand Schools Hands Together" program.

What to confirm with the university

The brochure does not give tuition, scholarship amounts, or application deadlines. Check these with the International Education College or the International Exchange Office of Tongren Polytechnic College, using the latest notices on the official website. For application requirements, also use the college's official website, since the brochure does not replace it.

Before you apply, confirm that the program you want appears in the college's current list. The brochure table is a snapshot from April 2026.
